A graceful plant that deserves to be seen more often in the garden.
Wild bees and other pollinators are in decline. This plant is recommended specifically by the RHS as part of the RHS plants for pollinators scheme. This scheme helps gardeners to easily identify plants that encourage bees and pollinators back into the garden.
The fine ascending stems, with white flowers and lancet-shaped green leaves give this plant an elegant appearance. Wonderful to combine with ornamental grasses and other perennials. The flowers are open in shape so very accessible to bees and other insects who feast on its rich nectar.
It likes a sunny place, but also grows well in half-shade, however must have well-drained soil.
